We have fantastic news and we can finally share it with the outside world. In December 2019 Quadrant4, together with DELTA Development Group won the pitch for a new European Distribution Centre (EDC) for Levi Strauss & Co. Germany. Our design, inspired by the green valley and the ambition for high-level sustainability and circularity was praised and appreciated by the Levi’s project team. Ambition related to Human Centered Design, energy-neutral footprint, bio-diversity for people and the environment, Cradle-to-Cradle, LEED and WELL all came together in our winning design. The ultimateGreen Inspired Architecture.
The top quality EDC has a floor surface of around 70,000 m2 and will be located in Dorsten (North Rhine-Westphalia). The EDC will be equipped with an innovative, fully-automatic, material-handling system.
Know-how, boldness and innovation on behalf of all the parties involved led to the best result in this project. The design is actually realised without any adjustments. In this project, we were able to lift the draft design in 3D to an even higher level than before.
Besides the exterior design, Quadrant4 will also work on the office concept and the interior design. Once again, we will make extensive use of Virtual Reality (VR) techniques. That way, we take the construction team and the user along with us to all the components of the ‘design journey’. The constructions will begin in mid-September 202. In December 2023, the first deliveries of Levi Strauss in Europe will leave this EDC.
Wow. We are so proud of this amazing project. We just had to share this with you. We wish you lots of enjoyment in viewing the photos. An obviously, we will keep you updated about the entire process via our social media channels.
