At first sight a light transformation but with many innovations!

Quadrant4 & Verschuren Interieurbouw found a unique company at Van Hessen in Nieuwerkerk aan den IJssel, in a beautiful high-profile location along the A20. Van Hessen’s housing was typical of the 1990’s and required refreshment for both the exterior and interior.

We had discussions with Van Hessen’s management, facility services, HR and marketing and communication, to determine the ambitions.

Outside, the building has been refreshed by cladding the existing facades in off-white. The existing windows are fitted with a modern anthracite wrap. The compact turnstile has made way for a glass front with a spacious and modern enclosed porch along the side. These immediately give an open and transparent feeling and lead you via the beautiful open staircase to the reception area.

The entrance, entrance area and customer reception received a major boost, despite the permanent privacy and security restrictions! We have succeeded in optimizing the entrance and reception and making it transparent and accessible in a warmer and modernized Van Hessen.

The current team and young talent can now take a seat in a light and open interior. Moreover, functions have been added, such as an outdoor space on the roof terrace for relaxation connected to a multifunctional space.

Quote Van Hessen:

The building exudes a new and refreshing élan and is completely in line with the current zeitgeist. There is a lot of light and space and we enjoy working there.
